Hmm..well, I have not done any of the above but I have shot the XDM's which have a match grade barrel and they are definately more accurate than the regular XD's . I dont know if that helps or not.
If you have any reservations about sending a gun to Springfield, don't. Their service is outstanding, they have the best customer relations and service of ANY firearms company I have associated with, and will go WAY beyond the extra mile for you.

No, no reservations about SA doing the work.
I just don't know if I want the $190 SA match barrel or the $105 refitted to match grade accuracy stock barrel. I'm wondering if the higher dollar barrel is worth the extra $85.

+ 1
I have a 9MM XDM and there is a big difference. I live all my Springfield's but the XDM is the most accurate.
bltefft,
Let us know what you end up doing, I also have been considering the match grade barrel for my XD.
Wondering if anything aftermarket is available!??
If it were me, I think the refit would probably be the same as the new barrel, But I don't know!
