Oklahoma (Kaw lake Tailwaters) Spoonbill ???

I live 100 miles from Kaw lake tail waters. As a previous resident I have done some snagging a few years ago. I'd love to make a weekend of snagging if I only could find out when to go. Can anyone direct me to a website or forum, or something other than wild life and parks web page. I have a lifetime OK. license and plan to use it. I eat what I catch and don't go just to rip fish out of the water and toss them back. Also as a non resident I can now keep several instead of one a day, that kinda makes the drive worth it. Thanks

They way it's going this years run may not be worth the drive. We need rain, Kaw is low and they have not been letting much water out. Rain, rain where are you? I guess if March is no good theirs always April, but man thats it.

Heading south this weekend with the family, gonna go snagging. If all goes well and water is being let out of the lake, then its on. The fishing reports say fair, in small numbers, and more rain means more fish. If I go, and if I catch any I'll post a photo or two. I figure three days of fishing, I should have a cooler full. Considering a small one is something like #30 lbs. Of course limit one per day per person, six fish maybe I'll need two coolers. Well I've got the tackle, all I ever need is the time. I'll keep you guys in the know. Wish me luck!

Well made it! Didn't catch much but heres a picture of one. He's somewhere around 35lbs. I brought two of these home. This made for 23 quart sized bags of meat, meal sized for two of course, not stuffed totally full. Well prairie dogging is in my near future, but I don't plan on bringing any home.
