| Yea! The Blister is gone!
Im only sorry the guns were gone.
The marriage had to end! if it was a car it woulda wen't to the scrap yard awhile ago, if it was a horse it would have had been put down, all I could have done was do what I did, lucky I still have my punkies (3 kids) the house and what little sanity I had left and a pretty good bunch of folks to work with doing what I like to do.

Did they ever make a show where they actually filmed it in Alaska? They filmed Northern Exposure in Maine, Snow Dogs in Canada, ect..

| AK Films!
The 1950's era movie of that giant Praying Mantis! obviousely not filmed in AK!
Ther's a few (1970's Barrow they still have the movie village out on the tundra called "HollyWood") Steve Segall filmed down in Valdez they bought butt loads of fur clothing from the coastal's (esp Shishmaref) they were going to cast some Alaskans too but in the end that fell through and they substituted Indians for Eskimo's.
Canadan singer KD Lang did one in OTZ back in 1990/91(Salmonberries) had a Homo theme + that suckie sound track (lots of extras from OTZ), there was a couple others, I knew a (Seldovia)pilot was a extra in one I disremember the title somthing to do with a washed out fishing boat captin and little bro from big city doing a drug deal gone bad
Some small film company stuff, not much big film company stuff though.
"30 Days of Night" Supposedly takes place in Barrow AK.............Yea right looks more like just a little ways out of Minot ND instead!!

| Movie Magic
Since I had Lived in Barrow at first when the movie play'd I was hopeing to see anythin I would recognise I knew the Barrow streets ended at the airport, there wasent anything unequely Barrow thrugout the whole movie, for a very high native population there wasent any Inupiat in the movie least none I wouldda stood by at the post office! I have worked in both OME and PHO there isant any them buildings that I recognize at them locations + building layouts were all wrong for the Arctic even OME has better buildings than that, any movie made in any one those locations would have been a Logistic challange makeing Big News for awhile mabe even featured on the evening news and the "Seattle Ohhh..... I mean Anchorage Daily News.
The last big thing on TV was the gal from BET/ANC that was on "Who Wants to be a Millionare"................... later on even HBAK- Marie Green interviewd her at ANC home.
For realism the Movie/Doumentry "Arctic Son" filmed on location in Old Crow Canada had better content and actually was entertaining for a mini budget movie.
Sky King??? what time frame??..........Hmmmmm............sounds kinda like Pat Patterson there was His Cape Smythe era in BRW/OTZ, then his Ryan/ATS era in the land of OTZ then back to BRW for the North Slope Search & Rescue of which I believe he is now chief of flight operations.
