How smart are huskies? I was waiting in a long line with other dog owners at the clinic, my girl here was checking out the other breeds, trying to get the puppies to play with her, when another couple walked in with another siberian, she jumped up, ears and tail erect, all excited, and started hopping around, "talking" to that other husky in that ululating, yodeling voice they use. Made quite a spectacle for the crowd.

The Husky I had was extremely intelligent. She never ceased to amaze me, and always provided me a few laughs. She could open the refrigerator, and could fetch a can of her food from the pantry.

This one is amazing, one day I answered my door to see a lovely young lady with MY husky, asking me is this was my dog. Apparently she got out through my gate when some kids cut through my yard without closing it behind them.
So it looks like she knows how to fetch hot babes, which is a very very good thing.

Dog's

We have quite a few crosses, the prevalant type has the same apperance and disposition of the Lapponian herder or Reindeer dog looked like about 60 copy's of them floating round here.
My neighbor Wade has one exact same markings and temprament as described, even better than the shepard/lab/huski crosses seen round here, very smart dog's.

I always thought the real Alaskans were the Athapascans, Eskimos, Aleuts and Tlingits. Seems like everyone else is a foreigner.

Any how the lights are pretty. If you can find the Polar Star you might be Alaskan.

So are you a real Oklahoman? Or did your ancestors squeeze out the Cherokee and other tribes who were forced to move there by the Indian Removal act? Are we all not immigrants somewhere back down the line? Except for Africans, maybe.

[Kind of touchy are we??? I am an immigrant too. My ancestors came from Switzerland and England. When I started the job that brought me to Oklahoma, one of the first persons I met called me "Foreigner". He was a full blooded Kiowa and anyone who was not full blood Indian was a foreigner. Even though I have ancestors going back to colonial times I was still a foreigner in his mind, even though we became close friends.

I was kidding you guys, sorry you took offence.

What about the star????

Not touchy here, that Kiowa's ancestors were immigrants too. We all have ancestors that wandered in from somewhere, merged with, displaced or just plain killed whoever was living there first, wherever "there" happens to be. Just setting the record straight. It ain't pretty but that's history.
