Yup,the school had a storeroom full of government surplus skis. I was on the ski team. Wish I had these two dogs of mine back then. Woulda been easier with them pulling me.

Wouldn't want to move back to that street, the Chena River Flood Control project has made it too soggy. My Uncle's basement caved in from all the ground water few years back. And some Skinheads colonized the neighborhood down by the dyke.

New Years Day at the mouth of the WTK river.
As the tape measure is blurry I plunked down a 18" pipe wrench for a size reference, kids love them Sheefish raw or fried.

Its a shame a couple days later a native fella in the next town over shot him, was a young male bear.
