If any of you woods-trompin' fellers should ever happen to shoot one of them critters (in self-defense, of course! ONLY if it's attacking you!), may I make the humble suggestion that you photograph and video as much as you can of the whole thing, and take hair, blood and tissue samples to freeze. Then stash all of that evidence as deep as you can, put it in the hands of trusted souls, if you can. If at all possible, do all this BEFORE you call the police, newspapers, TV stations, Department of Wildlife, etc.
It wouldn't surprise me a bit if these things have been killed, captured or bodies have been found and reported many times in the past, and the news has been covered up and buried by our gooberment, and the witnesses hushed up. These are just like aliens, there's just been way too many sightings and encounters to dismiss them as hoaxes or fantasies, yet NO official or media acknowledgements have ever been released. That's just a little too coincidental.
This is the government that denies the Area 51 base exists, remember? Yet we've all seen photos and TV shows about the place. And don't forget the press releases about the Roswell Incident with the statements from the military, that suddenly changed completely the very next day to a different story, and the big effort by the military to immediately seal and cleanup the area.
There's things that are known about, that are kept secret from the rest of us peons.

Hey the goverment would'nt do that.In Jet, Oklahoma there is a lake called Salt Plains there are salt flats where people used to go dig selinite crystals under the salt on top the ground, a young boy dug something up out there and it made him verry ill.Next day the road was blocked by military guards and would'nt let anyone in.The boy recovered but it was found out that the Army burried Mustard gas canisters out there and the boy had dug into one of the rusted canisters.They are still not letting anyone out there and they are not removing them.Rain runoff goes into the lake that people fish in.Fine way of disposing of that Crap,that is some bad stuff.

Well, I'm not sure where to start but I have never had a bigfoot encounter. I know there are some people out there who will thinik I'm crazy when they read this but I believe that there are bigfoots in North America. As for the rest of the stuff I know about them, well its already been covered by other members.

I bet a lot of reports go unreported due to they may be ridicule for it. I bet some members that have read this post and not posted have had an experience they can't explain.
What I find interesting is the Native American Culture all across North America has a different name for Sasquatch, but the description is the same. Sasquatch in NA culture is a protector of nature and in him revealing himself to you is a bad omen or warning. I do not think that BF is a myth, I for one believe they exist.
Now for something completely different........I have mentioned to my wife that I would like to lure one in if I can here or out in the NF. Anyone near me to willing to give a try this summer?
