400 rounds thru my all weather 10-22

Me and the son-in-law took our 10-22's to the range yesterday. He already had his scope zeroed pretty good, and it only took us about 15 minutes to get mine on. Combined, we probably shot between 500 and 600 rounds. If I remember correctly we each had one failure to fully eject in all those rounds. I had a 10-22 back in 1969. Makes me wonder why I got rid of it. What a blast!

10-22s are great little rifles. They are very good and very fun as they come from tha factory. Then as a bonus they can easily be modified to numerous different configurations from heavy bbl bench guns to AK-47 look alikes.

I sure do love mine!

Only had a few misfires, so it probably was the remington ammo.

Talk about being dirty. I cleaned it good this morning, before me and the wife went to Church. Do any of y'all disassemble the bolt every now and then to clean?

Hard to beat for pure inexpensive fun!
Unless of course you go nutz on the mods like I've been known to do.

BTW, after 500 or so rounds I clean the trigger assembly and remove the bolt. Pay particular attention to the bolt face/ extractor area. It can be cleaned without removal but it's likely to be accomplished more completely by removal. Gun Scubber or even brake cleaner work well, followed by a thorough blasting with some compressed air and then a light lube like Breakfree. I like dry lube for the bolt/receiver.....less gunk later.

Congrats on the rifle!
