Any thoughts on bolt buffers for the 10 22?

Got me a pack of bolt buffers for my 10 22 today. Guess I'll change that steel pin out for one a little softer and more flexible. Any thoughts?

Hey Billy

I changed mine out this morning. Looked like it made sense to me, instead of banging into that steel pin. Taking mine out Sunday after Church to try it.

I like them. Considering it is just a polymer rod, they are pretty well over-priced. They do work and they are an improvement over the steel pin.

The guys over on Rimfire central seem to like them. I still have the stock steel one in mine. One of these days I'll get one and try it.

Hey Billy, how does the glue stick hold up? Do you have to change it out once in a while or does it hold up pretty well?

1/4" fuel line with or without a finishing nail insert and you're done!
It'll rid the gun of the "clacks" but doesn't do much else despite the claims.

They cut down on the noise, gets rid of the 'clack'. Make your own with drill rod and clear vinyl tubing.

I bought a set of Yellow Jackets (yellow ones) for my 10/22...

...and my 10/22 works very well with one in it.

It seems to be a bit quieter and softer on recoil...

I bought mine on eBay...

...and here's a place that sells them too:
