500 smith and wesson vs 500 linebaugh

Im having a little argument right now on youtube and would like some opinions or facts about which one is more powerful. Atleast how close do they measure up ?

Tough question

as the ability to handle one of these big rounds is critical to any discussion.

Few people can really handle this type power and recoil.

It may be pointless to discuss the finer points.

the S&W is much more powerful, but the linebaugh fits in a normal sized revolver.

Man, I don't know which is more powerful but I got to watch a older guy shoot a Linebaugh while I was in Cedar Rapids IA. It was in a Black Hawk wthi what looked like a 4 or 5" BBl. WHAT A CANNON!!!!! When he'd shoot the repercussion would literally hit you in the chest. Each shot took him a step back, he was shooting off hand. He used .348 win brass that was cut down. Has to be one of the most awesome "Gun Moments" of my life.

Sounds like a potent caliber.
