They fit to the sling stud. If your 1022 has no stud then you'll have to install one. Very simple and inexpensive ($1.00). Should be available almost anywhere shooting supplies are sold or at your gunsmith's!
Ash,
That depends how handy you are the gunsmiths recommond to epoxy the stud in the plastic stock, You have options out there with no gunsmithing you can you a Harris bipod adaptor #4 20.00this type clamps around the barrel and another I would think without the epoxy setup is the Harris bipod adaptor #2R, 9.00 for (1) you'll need 2 of'em if you want to attach a sling, this item is just a sling pin with a steel mounting plate it attaches to. I also have a ruger 10/22 with the composite stock and I put epoxy to mine for the reason I did not want to have my wooden type sling pin from uncle mike's most wallyworld carry these. Was b4 I ran across the other harris accessories.
I've installed sling studs on both wood 1022's as well as synthetic. Follow the stud installation instructions for wood. Epoxy is good insurance for the synthetics. Some JB Weld on the threads of the stud has always worked for me.
