Question Triggers...Ruger vs. S&W

Been using a S&W 686P for the past few weeks. Love the feel and balance, especially the smooth trigger. Ergonomically, the Ruger GP 100 feels better in the hands. The trigger/hammer action feels a little rough though compared to the 686. Since I'm new at this, I'm looking for some validation before I buy. Is the GP 100's trigger rougher than the S&W, if so, is there a fix?

thanks

typically out of the box the S&W is a little slicker. a good gunsmith can smoothe out your GP

gault, Jerry's right, a worked over GP can be every bit as nice as a worked over S&W action.
