pistol permit?

I will be in colorado soon less than a month. My question is there a pistol permit that makes the purchase of the pistol or firearm. I ask becasue my father has one in nebraska and it speeds the process up quite a bit. As always thanks for the help.

Not yet, but a bill is to be introduced soon that would exempt a CCW permit holder from the obligatory background check. With the Dems in control of both the House & Senate I doubt it'll get anywhere. Even if it does, the Dem Governor will most likely veto it. Keep your fingers crossed, but don't hold your breath.
