Beech is an inexpensive hardwood.

I don't know the different 452 variations by name. Can you describe what a "special" is?

I can usually hit a 3" target 4 out of 5 times at 50 yards with open sights using my 452 Mannlicher. My best group was a five hole spread an inch and a half wide.

The CZ 22lr special is still in their 452 range. I've been told by the gunshop worker that they release it from time to time. I have been told it is similar to the 'trainer' model they have. There is no info on the CZ website regarding the 452 special which is quite frustrating.

Does anyone know anything more about this rifle? I think it sounds like a good buy but ive never owned a cz and don't know much at all about their "special" model.....

452ZKM Lux

Just get the Lux model. The price of the Standard (also referred to "Special" or "Trainer" outside of the EU) has gone up to where for just a little more you can get a more beautiful version.
