surprise with my latest CZ 82

heres some pics of the CZ 82 that came off the big brown truck of happiness today. the suprise is the holster and mag case that came with it. all the other CZ 82 s I've ordered came with the same full flap holster & mag pouch combo. this one came with a used but very good condition open thumb break holster and a single mag pouch. both are very well made from thick leather. they are stamped "zili praha" in a circular logo with a running fox. also there is the CZ logo and 82/83. I'm assuming that they are a Czech holster manufactor and were probably police issue. any one else get one of these with your CZ 82 s? the pistol came from S.O.G. it is kinda a dissapointment though. the flyer quoted $179.95 and on my recipt the charge was $183.55. the couple of bucks is no big thing but they told me (over the phone) that the pistols were in very good to good condition, and like a recent CZ 52 that I got from them with the same condition rating, they are not what used to be called "very good to good condition" Mechanicilay it seems fine but I havent shot it yet. I just wish these companies would standardize their ratings.

I just got one off of Gunbrokers that came the same way. Hast the black thumb break holster and mag case. Nice leather. Also had the extra mag and cleaning rod with it. It was from PeachStateguns. here is the link.

I would refer to SOG's terms of sale. They state that all of their advertised prices are "sames as cash" prices and that they charge an extra 2% for credit card purchases. Did you pay with a CC? If you didn't I would give them a call.

The quoted price also doesn't include shipping.

I just received mine today.
It also included the heavy black thumb break holster. I was amazed at the condition. It looks to be unused. Not a mark on it.
The import mark is discretely stamped on the under side edge of the slide.
Looks as though I will have to soften the holster to get it to snap.

That's because you have to be registered with SOG to get prices.

FYI, fellow CZ-82 owners: if you want additional magazines, at the moment J&G Sales in Arizona has them. They have 12 round steel milsurps at $30 apiece and new production at $45 each. I doubt you'll find them for less elsewhere; for some reason they are hard to find online at all.

Spot on.. You even get charged the extra 2% if you stop by the "store" and pick them up.

I'm still amazed with the accuacy of my first CZ82 I bought from SOG (which I picked up in person).. At 25 yards, it's a beer can blaster!! If I don't hit the can, I scare the HELL out of it!!

I bought my first CZ 82 from J&G. Came with 1 mag, and the brown leather flap holster. I saw some of those CZ 82s with the black holsters for sale a while back on classicarms.us. Unfortunately, they are currently out of stock though. I have been looking for the same since I saw them last. Price doesn't sound too bad. I still need a mag release spring that I unfortunately broke while disassembling the pistol the first time. Have never been able to find anything short of buying another CZ 82. I bought some spring stock to make one, but its not as good as the original. I'd like one to pattern it after.

^ parts for the CZ 82 & the civilian 83 should interchange. as far as I know, the only difference is the caliber.

Well I'll have to go on a hunt for some CZ 83 parts then and see what I can find.

Like the Iron Col. I bought mine from J&G and only got one mag. As for condition issues I was going to buy an old handgun advertised as very good condition, had my FFL call them and it had a pitted barrel and the safety did not work and this was very good? I did not buy it.
