I'm Going Moose Hunting

I've just applied for my Maine Moose tag again and will apply for late season Antelope in South Dakota along with a spring turkey hunt in Texas, hog hunting in Texas and deer hunting here at home. I may even hunt deer in Wisconsin and Minnesota also. I'm not gonna worry about the economy. The Maine hunt is a guided hunt and will cost about $2500, lic and gas included. That one I have to put some $$$ away for. The other hunts are all on my own.
I will do my part to stimulate the economy in my own way. After the hunts, I hope to stimulate the taxidermy business also.

You have it right, do the things you want to do now. I have friends who didn't hunt last year because gas was to high, how the hell do you get that hunting season back?

You better do things you want to do NOW, because no matter what you think you know, you don't know whats going to happen tomorrow. blue

Down around George West and Freer. I'll use my M-4 AR,.223 and a Gen III Night Vision scope. Maybe run some dogs too. I know a couple of fellas down there that have hog dogs. I hope to take a javelina and Rio Grande turkey while there. Lots running around. Three weeks away.

Got my special draw permits in here in WA. Hoping for a multiseason elk tag, so I can do archery, muzzle, and modern to get the max time in the field.

I'll be stopping in Lake Jackson for a night. That's over by Houston. That closer?

I drew a DCUA sheep tag and a Lost Lake goat tag for this fall. Wifes going with me on the sheep hunt and i'll be chasing goats with my friend. Also plan on hunting black and brown bears, moose and maybe even caribou.

Do yall have to apply for tags in your home state. Here in NC we just buy a hunting license that is good for most hunting, and get a set of tags at the same time. Where I live we can take 2 bucks and 4 does. Then, I believe, we can get more doe tags, never need that much meat. We have a lot of whitetail deer, but no huge horns. I would like to hunt some of our bear and feral hog. We also have turkey, and waterfowl. It wouldn't be fun to have to apply to hunt.
