COW PALACE GUN SHOW

Nice event although ive only been to a few but over all nice enviornment. Alot of people with general talk and advice, customers and sellers alike. Minding of course the over trying NRA recruiter outrageously shouting how we can get in free if we join, i think everyone there was cool. A few people that didnt seem to belong like this lady dressed in a candy striper (nurse) outfit, and she wasnt selling nothing just freely roaming around looking and touching everything.

I seen a nice little selection, my fav being the infamous tommy gun with a 100 round drum in which they wanted 1800 for (i guess good for a collectable). Second being the twin dragonov sniper rifles which looked awful temping to get a ghile suit in take position. It was a stampede to the ammo section, but the fight to one of the 5 people trying to cash out the 100's, wasnt that the bad. Although if the 2 out of the 3 girls that looked good had bikinis i think everyone would have enjoyed it better.

I got 500 45acp reloads for 120 in a ammo can which i thought was a good price, along with 20 hydra-shoks for the casa. Also got a range bag, 100 45acp round container (so i dont have to lug the ammocan) and a gun rug. All in all i think it was a nice day.

BUT THE BEST PART.... my rock island isnt fully broke in yet only got 150 rounds through it now being that my cousin and i went to the range after. He just got his beretta M9 and was juiced to go so we went. WELL...in the 100 rounds or so he shot off he had 2 to nose dives a stove pipe and a failure to extract. LOLOLOLOL being that this is the weapon that replaced mine in the US military HAHA i think not!!! I havent had 1 problem at all with mine, no malfunctions or nething. None the less i still want a M9 but id rather trust my life with my 1911 rather than that.

ANYWAY just want to jot down some thoughts of the day, feel free to add yours.

Did you see the CalGuns booth!?

I was going to go, but am waiting to see if I can get the new job I interviewed for last week before spending much more money.

Don't recall, i was just looking for what i needed didn't really take the time to meet people, hunt for treasure, or see the big name companies there. I did see some of the guys from jackson arms and bulls eye there though, i think the jackson arms guys bought some reload stuff, good thing to they've been out of 45acp for the longest now.
good luck with the job

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, but you broke one of my cardinal rules, ie: Never shoot a reload that you didn't load yourself or personally witnessed. Be very careful...

Ya i dont blame you for having that rule, sounds like a pretty solid rule. Although being that brass and shooting in general is going up in price, ill take my chances until i got money to blow on rounds. Although i was skeptical because it said 500 rounds but i figured they got over on people by selling less than stated amounts on the can, but i counted exactly 500. Also being that the cases were all reloads, they were a mix from all brands of brass and all looked very fresh and new with no scratchs, dents, or anything. I do plan to do my own reloads in the future when i have the tools and machinery to do so. Do you think its worth the effort to do it yourself even?

If that is the "importer". I got a 1937 Ex-dragoon from him last week. He does know his stuff.
