So when there's a public audience you're fine with debating, but when I suggest that we take our debate to a place that is acceptable according to the Forum rules you suddenly back down. Just when it was getting fun.
When has France ever attacked United States Citizens or Territory? As I recall... they were instrumental in that little conflict in 1776... maybe you've forgotten?

I am not backing down. I refuse to battle wits with someone who is unarmed. I never said france attacked us. If you read you will see that I said they sell weapons and technology to our enemies. They do not support us in Afganistan or Iraq. I dont spend money at Target you can if you want.

That's fine then.
Regarding Target, I see a lot more "Made in USA" stickers on products I've bought at Target than products I've looked at buying at Wally World.

Just watch the news is all you need to do to learn about the French. How many French soilders are in Iraq or Afganistan. 0 is the answer. I dont have to debate. He wont change my mind. I wont change his, so it is pointless. Only a fool fights in a burning house.

| ... last I checked, the French ARE an Ally of the United States. While we've spent a lot of time defending the French from having to speak German, etc. ... and the fact that we've been on opposite sides of beliefs, they ARE still an ally.
... FS00008, great post #25. A lot of people forget that... and probably forget where the Statue of Liberty came from.
... hey TheTroll, regarding your post #26, where do you think Iran got the fleet of F14's? Where do you think Iraq got a lot of their weapons to fight with Iran?
... now, last I checked, we're talking about an attempt to *request* that Target sell ammunition FOR American consumers, not have a history debate.

The French,as I understand it,knew darn well that Saddam was not a problem
and did not want any part of it as did a lot of other countries.
As far as debating,it is not pointless,it could be very intellectually stimulating, that is if you are into expanding your mind.

The French were trading Saddam Hussein weapons and technology for oil which was in violation of the UN Sanctions. I wont debate, its pointless and there weuld be no winner. You obviously have your made up, I know mine is and wont be changed no matter what. I am of the opinion that we need to bring all our soilders home that are burried in France and bring them home.

lol. They way i see it, even if the french did supply the middle east with a lot of weaponry and what not, we did the exact same damn thing in the 80s. when they were all fighting amongst themselves everyone in the west was glad to sell them guns, ammo, planes w/e. we were all just out to make a buck. until they started pointing those guns at us.

I paid about three bucks a box for them, if I remember right, and some of the boxes were so old the cardboard was fuzzy. | KMart stores stopped resupplying their ammo shelves thanks to Michael Moore and his anti-gun movie regarding Columbine. The KMart by me still has some shotgun stuff and a few boxes of .22 and a few boxes of .270, but that's about it. When something sells out, they DO NOT restock.
Thank you Mr. Moore.
And it's out of fear of what happened to/with Kmart, them being where the 2 Columbine shooters bought their ammo and why Target will never sell any ammo. Hell, to my knowledge, Target doesn't even sell BB's or pellets let alone BB or pellet guns?
And I believe eventually, other then the southern stores, most Walmarts will eventually stop selling it as well, in do time. God knows I hope I'm wrong, but I just haver this rotten gut feeling about it.
