I did today(much to my surprise)and was told that they appreciated my input, then gave me a link to go to about there store policies. In other words no way!I went to there site, and it did not say anything about guns and ammo.Just a bunch of jiborish about how they contribute to society, blah blah blah.
No mention of any French connection though.

I suggest that every body should go on it,and ask them to sell ammo.Make sure you put your e-mail address on so they will get back in touch with you.I did it last night, and had an answer today.I think it would be cool if thousands of people did it,it would probably make the six o'clock news!

I got an e-mail back saying basically the same thing. I sent another e-mail through there and asked them to give me a real reason as to why not. That corporate responsibility statement is just a runaround. I hope that we could get thousands of people to do this so that yes, maybe we could make the news...

I'm going to e-mail the Students for Concealed Carry on Campus representative for my state and ask that they send this suggestion to everybody who is signed up for SCCC. I know for a fact that college students will e-mail like nobody else :-P

I'm telling you all, they fear someone someday going to one of their stores and buying a ton of ammo and then going on a shooting spree and then having Michael Moore do a documentary movie on them like he did to and with K-Mart after Columbine.

I think the only reason WalMart hasn't stopped cold turkey is because of where they originated. But to me, it is obvious WalMart themselves are slowly shying away from guns, if they all haven't, as well as ammo. The ones by me already sell NO guns and as far as ammo, what isn't overpriced, they take their sweet time reordering and restocking the shelves.

I get told, someone coame in and bought it all up as soon as they put it out, but I'm finding this hard to believe, EVERY TIME. I think that's what they're being told to say of asked? I mean, supposedly, they get shipments in once a week, and if ammo was selling that good for them, trust me, it comes down to money as being the end result, and if it makes them money, they'll bring more of it in knowing it will all sell. But they don't.

They just keep the small locked cabinet for ammo and I've been in the same store by me 5 times in the past 2 weeks, just to see, and nothing has changed in the cabinet, at all. How do I know, I had taken a picture with my cell phone to compare it to.

I think our efforts would be much better served if we supported our local FFLs and any gun shops. Especially those with gunsmiths. MHO that is.

Target is incredibly anti gun and anti hunting. They will never, ever, stock or sell ammo. Waste of time even contacting them about it.

I do support the local shops. Only two of them carry ammo. One only has handgun ammo and even then it's just Miwall reloads. The other marks it up by about 50%. I bought a rifle at the other shop and they have pretty good prices on guns, but their ammo prices suck.

And I believe you do FS as well as I'm sure many here do. But we need to make an extra effort to try and do more, especially in these times. Because if they can no longer stay in business, where will we go then? Obviously not Target, K-Mart and it looks as if not even WalMart, in time?

I agree with you. I also think that the more places that do sell ammo... the better for us. Since the election, one of the shops in my area has been slowly raising prices higher and higher. I know that they aren't really getting that much higher from their distributors because the shop about 2 miles up the street uses the same distributors. These guys are just profiteering IMHO. It saddens me to see people who should be supporting us as gun owners instead using the current situation to their own advantage.
