The 9mm Luger barrels run about $80, but you ned to make sure the rollers are good. Some have mild steel rollers that wear quickly. I'll check with my buddy to see where he got his, and post it soon.
He uses Sellior&Bellot ammo, which is reloadable. The usual milsurp, of course, isn't reloadable. This is some hot stuff. The CZ52 is about the only pistol that can take it.
The CZ round is very close to the .30 Mauser pistol cartridge and has very impressive performance. It is essentially an armor piercing round due to velocity.

NRAJoe, SOG has it for about $8.90/box of 70 rounds. It's Czech ammo, and it's non-corrosive 85 grain FMJ ammo. Very impressive. From my CZ52, it clocks right at 1410fps, which is in the armor-piercing category, as Klaus stated.
If you want to convert it to 9mm, PM Dennis because he has done it and said he likes it very much.

Cool, thanks guys, didn't know it was in the armor piercing range though...whew! Gonna have a good time on the range! Big Dog, get back with that info when you get it please. I would have bought some ammo with it but I didn't see any listed and they didn't ask me if I needed any...oh well. Thanks again EVERYONE.

This is Sellier & Bellot ammo from the Czech Republic. Boxer primed, fully reloadable, very clean. Full Metal Jacket bullet, FMJ 85 grain. This is ammo for the Russian or Chinese Tokerav pistol. This is a bottle neck cartridge. New current production with brass case and boxer primed so it can be reloaded. Non-returnable item, we will not accept any returns on this.
Looks like a mean little sucker!!

Joe, I just looked at the ammo I bought sometime ago. It's S&B and for 50 rounds I paid 7.95 a box. I can't remember where I got it but rest assured it's plentiful and you should have no difficulties in finding some.
I've seen plenty at gun shows, and that might be where I bought this batch.
I read an article that the reason they came out with the 7.62 x 25 round is that, at the time, a lot of thugs in the eastern bloc where beginning to wear telephone books, etc. as a form of makeshift body armor. Then they found some organized thugs that took a twist from Clint Eastwood and started wearing sheet metal under their clothing. Knowing their 9 x 18 and 9mm had little effect to the body they developed this high powered ammo.
It's a heck of a gun.

the pistol is kind of space age looking for something that was adopted by the Czech military in 1952...An awful lot of machining went into it I'm sure...
You betcha Logansdad, the roller block barrel was then, and is often still today, considered the sturdiest of barrels and was way ahead of their time in design.
And, if you wanna see a nice fire ball, shoot it at night, if you can safely.
Joe, I got into it with the staff at Ben Avery Range, which is an open outdoor range. They had this policy you can't go between the back bench and chain link fence to retrieve brass. When I pointed out that that is where my brass landed they made an acception for that. How your range, being indoors, is set up it may not be a big issue with a wall behind you, perhaps.
I checked out SOG and that's a great price on the 70 round boxes of 7.2 x 25 ammo (I assume by your comment that is what you bought from them, lol). In fact they have great prices, based on what I am used to paying locally, on most of their ammo. The 7.62 x 54 and 7.5 Swiss caught my eye. The last time I bought a sixty round brick of 7.5 I paid almost $60 and it's under $30 there and not corrosive and match grade to boot...wow.
