I know your interest is in a pistol but if you hang around Gun and Game very long you'll soon discover quiet a few members here have one and for good reason.
There the finest cheap rifle your ever going to have a chance to buy.
There also cheap to shoot and there Fun !!!
Keep an eye out for them and if you see one in very good condition for a hundred bucks or less, grab it up and you'll be glad you did.
Check the numbers on them to see if they match which is easy to do and there are different models but space want allow me to go there.
Check out G&G Mosin Forum to learn about Mosin Nagant rifles and you'll see why i typed all this.
About pistols I would only buy a New Taurus brand pistol if you can get a good deal on one of them, otherwise you may be buying someone else's trouble on a used one. | Should be able to get three Mosins plus have money left over for ammo |

It's not easy to stick to a budget when you go to a gun show. The last time I tried that,I went in with the plan to spend around 100.00 dollars, and came out with about 300.00 dollars worth of stuff. Those gun shows are a really bad place for a impulse buyer like myself.luckily my son was with me,and helped me come up with some good reasons to tell my wife why I needed those things. |

Sounds like you did alright for your first one Rob529. Congrats...
I went to one tonight myself. Only thing I saw that I wanted was some .40S&W, .45acp pistol ammo and 7.5 X 54 French MAS rifle ammo but passed because the guy wanted too much, in my book anyhow. I offered him $5 bucks less per box, said I'd buy 3 boxes of each and before I could finish, he in a somewhat mad tone said, $20bucks a box, I won't take nothing less. Some fool wanted $60 bucks for a 100ct. of .45acp Winchester white box. I laughed as he said, it's from my own stash, I gotta sell it for that much. I said you might just as well keep it then cuz no one in their right mind is going to pay that.
And as for the $20 bucks per box of the pistol ammo, yes, it was for a box of 50, the MAS ammo was for boxes of non corrosive 20ct. I just felt for a gun show it was high and I can find it for cheaper. Can get the MAS ammo for $14.79 online. As for the pistol ammo, I just have to buy it in bulk or wait for a deal. And this was for the Federal Red box Eagle stuff, the cheap stuff in my book. In fact, just found it in a catalog for $16.32 a box of 50. lol Stuff that goes for like $15 bucks a box, which is what I offered. Hell, he wants to lose $15 bucks on 3 boxes rather then make $45 bucks, his loss, as I walked. lol
Then there was the really hard one I passed up. A Norinco SKS, red furniture, for $325. I didn;t notice if it was all matching or not though. I was passing on it so I didn't look. I didn't want to know. lol
