Big Shrek, one little fly in your plan......

Copper, brass and lead are NOT magnetic - the stud finder won't work.....

Don't forget, if using a shotgun - pick up the shotcup and wad.......

Actually stud finders work on density by measuring the difference in an electrostatic field near the object. Or at least that is how they work to find wood studs.

Not being a smartbutt or nothing, but if I had to look for the bullet I would start at the entrance hole. Maybe if not apparent slice through and look for a trajectory path of damaged tissue, unless a small bouncer round like a .22 or buckshot... then forget it. But if your that worried .22's and shotguns are cheaply replaced, I would just dispose of the firearm. Of course if I was ever forced to use a firearm it would be in defense anyway so its moog point.

Maybe that is why you shoot them with rock salt and then slit their throat when they pass out. Soak the body in whatever, and the salt is gone. Then disposing it can get tricky, but this is a post SHTF discussion, assuming you survived the SHTF scenario and either every one is for them self or something has been reestablished as a government.

If no one is there to investigate then just kill them and bury them outside, done.

I am a bigger fan of knives when it comes to personal combat. Silent, very deadly, don't need reloading, and get the job done. A gun would be a line of defense I wold use at a distance.

None of you is going to be alive when any of the situations you have discribed happens, this world as we know know it is not going to just suddenly start coming apart at the seams, This may be fun for you people to talk about but I personnlay find it very boring, Why not start a discussion about what you would do to survive in the wilderness after some kind of animal attack or being lost or the kinds of things that happen everyday in real life like being stuck in a snow storm with no provisions!! how is your ability to do something like that. I would find that type of discussion much infomative and the information much more useful in todays real life situations. Just my opinion.
