This has always been a great shoot. It is hosted by the volunteer fire department and is, historically, where a massive percentage of their revenue is produced. The firing line is around 500 yards, with over a mile of range.

I've always wanted to get up there for the shoot but it's never worked out for me. In high school we played CW all the time in basketball but I don't think I've been up there since. Have to make it a point to go this year.

I can add that it's a real hoot to set off a beer can full of TNT (at 500 yds.) and hear the report echo around some of the most stunning red-rock canyons in the world.
