North Carolina Concealed Carry Weapons Classes

Anyone recommend someone that is somewhat reasonable in the prices?

When I picked mine up from sherrif's office in Cherokee, I stood around waiting for the key to the city for what it cost me.

Hi Chris, I don't know from your post if you are collecting data state wide or looking for a specific area. I know of at least 3 places locally in my area that offer the courses but haven't kept up with their prices lately. I can check with them for current prices if you need the information. I am located in Sneads Ferry, NC near Camp Lejeune.

I'm located in Greenville, NC. I also commute from Raleigh right now.

I was hoping to pay less than $100, but it looks like it will be at $100 or a tad bit over.

In WNC, it runs from $75-$85 for the class. The license itself is $90; plus some counties in NC take 3-4 weeks to process. Mine takes 60-90 days! Go figure!

course in New Bern

My husband and I took our concealed carry handgun course July 11, 2009, in New Bern. It was about an hour from Jacksonville/ Camp Lejeune/ New River MCAS. Course was $50 each, lunch was provided. Mr. Wishon teaches the course in his home about once a month.

Here is his contact info:

Thanks for the plug.

The Bullseye. Vale, NC. 704-462-1948
Every Tuesday night 7:00-10:00. Shooting test the following Saturday at 9:00am.
$75

Also at Homeland Institute of Tactical Training, Law Enforcement Security Training Programs
Times there vary depending on demand.

I'll do "one day/all day" private classes for $50 when I get a large enough group.
Those will be on Saturdays at my convenience.
And be prepared to "cram" that day. No lunch breaks, no bullshit.

I live in Greenville. A retired Deputy teaches the course about three miles out of Grenville on Frog Level Road. You get what you pay for. His classes are $100.00. He's not the type to stand there and read out of the book. The real life stories he tells are interesting. He also has a range on site. The company name is Greenville Concealed Carry.

Johnston Community College offers a one day class at Howell Woods about once a quarter for $65.00, it really works well, but you have to really be ontop of signing up with them since the classes fill up quickly.
