Sighting a Red Dot Scope on the 995 Carbine

I got my 995 carbine this week. It has a BSA Red Scope installed on it.

I have attached an image for everyone to view.

Figure A shows how the red dot is currently setup.
Figure B is my idea of how it is suppose to be setup.

Do I adjust the elevation knob to bring the red dot lower toward the bottom of scope to meet front sight on Figure B or do I leave the adjustment the way it is in Figure A.

Never had a red dot scope on a gun before so I was curious about how some of you adjusted your Hi Point carbine with a red dot scope.

Thanks

Your advice is appreciated.

Just get yourself a laser boresighter , pick a distance you would like to have it sighted in at and line up the dots. Then fine tune it. I have used and done it this way many a times. It works just fine.

One of these will work just fine.

When I have used a Red DOt on my M995 and my M17S Bushpup, I simply use the dot centered, and adjust it to shoot dead-on a fifty yards with the dot centered. Neither rifle has a front sight.

Front sight does not come into play with most red dot systems. I removed the front sight and installed a barrel shroud on my carbine, because after installing the red dot it is no longer needed.

Very true mossbergman. Always carry spare batteries in my gun case. The point being if you use a red dot you don't use the front sight to sight it in...
