You don't say which one.If it is 'classic grade' thats pushing the limit.Sounds ok for the others and a real buy for some.I really don't consider scopes,especially on rifles that show rough use unless they are fairly high dollar brand name. sam.
Here is you key determiner. Most guns of this caliber get little shooting in reality even if they spend a lot of time in the woods. However, you do run across the occassional gun with a well worn bore. If the bore looks really great then I would go for it.
Steve - I am always a tad leery of "accurate built" rifles on the selling block. However, there are a kabillion reasons why people sell em.
I agree with the above, if there is any way to give the bore a look-see, or better yet, shoot it, then you have the answer. If it will shoot like it should, I would say it is a good to vgood buy.
