XD vs XDm which one?

ive been eyeing a polymer pistol for a good bit now and am 99.9% sure its gonna be a Springfield. ive messed with glock and m&p but they dont fit my hand as well as the xd does so im venturing down that road. my question basically boils down to this. is the XDm's bells and whistles worth the extra $150 compared to the XD? im looking for the .40. i really like the way the XDm feels in my hands with the extra contours and interchangable front/backstraps. but the question remains, is it worth the extra cash? any insight would be great.

If I were in the market for one, I'd pay the extra for the "M"

as the ad goe's has a matched barrel and for accurcy that would justify the extra cost I do like mine and the recoil is soft to me, as my 9mm I also like the extra rnds its holds over the others I like my SS finish....

I have a XDm-40 and XD-40 and love both but have been carring the XD more and shooting it more. Depends on what you want and like.

That is a really tough question

Honestly, probably not.
But like a car maker coming out with a new model design you have the problem of the previous model design being worth far less should you ever decide to trade or sell.
So, reality moves you toward the XDM.

Talking

I bought a XD40 about a year ago, loved it. When the XDm came out I had to try it so I bought one of those. The XD40 got relegated to a back up after the first time I shot the XDm40. Now my son wants to buy it and I am willing to sell it to him. I love the XDm.

I bought mine from Gallery of Guns, the difference their is $110. Well worth it.

I own 2 XD's and one XDM. If you are going to carry it the XDM is a little large. For range fun, keeping it in your house, car, office etc as a protection gun the XDM is worth every penny. I am very happy with mine.

I only own a XD subcompact, but if I got a big one it would be a XD for the simple fact the 16rd mags are interchangeable between the guns.
