i was at the local wally world and was looking in there gun case and there was a 10/22 it came with scope mount and sling for 170 and some change? deal or no deal? that is the question

So many people are not that happy with the current 10/22 they view it more in the sense of buying a receiver then fixing the gun via the aftermarket triggers, barrels, stocks, etc.

It is a tough call and only you can make the call that is right for you.

Personally, I would not buy it. I would search out the pawn shops and gun shops for a used 10/22 at a cheaper price then work through the aftermarket for upgrades.

i would only use this for hunting bushy tail and some plinking so i dont think i would buy anything aftermarket for it besides a scope and a couple of mags

$170 is a good price for a new one.
If you plan on replacing everything with aftermarket parts, a cheap used one may be a better starting point.
If you plan on modifying the oem parts(you get the same results)the new one is a great start. The new polymer trigger groups are built to a tighter tolerance than the older aluminum ones.
