It Arrived Today!

I mailed my application on 2/17, my credit card was charged on 2/20. The license arrived today. Seems pretty fast to me. I didn't get the CD or any kind of regulations book though. Should I have expected that?

So here we go!

Thumbs up waiting

That's great! I mailed mine 3 weeks after you so now I am more hopeful of a positive response sooner rather than later.

Please don't buy EVERYTHING. Leave a little for me.

A question if I may. I notice it does not have an "issue date", or at least I can't find one. There is an expiration date of 4/1/2012, so do I presume it is not valid until 4/1/09? Or is it good as soon as it arrives?

It reads like it's good right now.

Classic Arms is selling M95s on the cheap. They want to clear them out. They will accept a faxed C&R. I faxed them mine, and asked for a Yugo 24/47, but they were all out. And out of 91/59s. So I bought an 880 crate of 7.62x54R. Now I have my order in for an M95. They have an updated online order form too!

Century International had a better deal on M95's not too long ago. They had three for $150. Alas, that deal is gone.

Cool

It took 2 weeks for my "package" to arrive after the C&R did. I still need to find a bound book.

California wondering

well, now I have the C&R, a few nickles to rub together, and M95s are on clearance. Without having the Cal guidelines yet can someone please enlighten me what I must do before or after ordering. Thank you in advance.

Awww, and it was not that long ago I paid 199 bucks for mine online. And it was in almost unissued condition. And it's not a permit, it's a license. Basically it is a federal license where you can have guns classified as curios and relics shipped straight to your front door, cutting out the middle man with his transfer fees. This gives you a way to pick up guns fairly cheap. For instance, I got a hex barreled Mosin Nagant for $69.95 plus about 20 bucks shipping. So unless there is a gun store near you selling them for about $90, a C&R is the way to go. Also no sales tax is charged when I buy them from out of state, so that sort of decreases the shipping costs bite.

I have an extra form sitting on my desk in front of me. I got impatient and requested again. If you email me your address I'll mail it right out to you. Might come quicker.
