It looks as though someone has sawed the barrel off and also the stock! It looks like a older bolt action 22lr. Any writing on the barrel??? May bee an old Mossberg???

What ever it is as far a manufactor is concerned is of no matter what is is the fact that it is VERY VERY illegal and needs to be destroyed before it get someone in trouble.

I agree with the marlin, but due to the gold trigger I think it's a model 780.

I agree with Sbowers - highly ILLEGAL. Destroy it. You don't want to vacation in Club Fed.

If it has any sentimental value, remove the stock and barrel - the action can be restored with new barrel and stock, and become a good rifle again.

Trigger isn't gold, it's silver.

Send me the mag and bolt before you chunk it.

Why destroy when you can repair??

Disassemble the barrel & stock from the action.
Trash the stock & grab a thirty-dolla replacement from e-gunparts.com.
Trash the highly illegal short barrel and order a new barrel from e-gunparts.com.
Put it back together with the new parts and you'll have one very nice shooter.

Looks like a .22 that has had the stock and barrel cut down. Magazine and action look like my old Glenfield model 25. My grandpa has a little gun like that. His uncle or cousin split the barrel somehow. Then cut the barrel down to about 4 inches, and cut the stock down to a pistol grip, or maybe made a new stock. His is single shot, and has not been shot in probably forty years, it is a wall hanger now. I am sure he doesn't know that it is illegal.

Thanks!

Thanks to all who helped ID this old rifle. I've ordered some replacement parts to turn it back into a regular rifle. Your help much appreciated. Best Wishes to all.

Just be sure to go ahead and DISSASSEMBLE IT IMMEDIATELY

You can't get in trouble for it if the barrel & stock has been separated from the action.
