SOCOM in local shop

I stopped in the local gun shop here in Wooster the other day, checking out the inventory. He had a Springfield SOCOM in the rack. .308, short barrel, very serious looking item. Asking $1895, I believe it's consigned. That's a lot of coin, but I have no idea what they things sell for new.

You did not indicate which model Socom you looked at. The price may be fair if it is a gen II and it has all the rails etc. I like simple and light. All those add on's just add weight.
