Question about trigger

I got an Enfield No. 4 today at a gun show. Been playing around with it for about an hour now, noticed that the trigger is "loose" as in you can move it forward slightly when not cocked.

Is something wrong here? My safety is also rather loose as well, friend said it should be much tighter than it is.

It is normal for the trigger to have forward movement, it just kind of flops around until it's cocked.
The safety is not normally tight, but there is some tension on it. I believe the tension is from the thin flat piece that holds the safety lever in place. It has a little tit, or knurtly (technical terms) on it, small indentation at the rear of it.
