Whats that question on the gun form, have you ever been adjudicated as mentally ill or something like that? There is a reason you don't shoot with crazy people.
This is the same company but a different location. We shot in Apopka which is the larger store. The Casselberry store is closer to me and that's the one I actually go to the most.
mentally impared people should not have access to guns. if they were on the west coast they could have driven off a cliff with little or no notice to the national media. a sad story, but she should not have had access to a firearm especially if it was her sons firearm and he knew better.
A witness said they appeared under the influence on drugs. The autopsy results may reveal just that. I said to my wife just last night, "I wonder what other lame brain gun incident are we going to hear about before coffee in the morning." Well, here it is.
They acted nervous and jittery and appeared to be under the influence. Hummm.
Where I shoot, that's reason enough to be refused to be allowed on the line, or at the very least, have a range officer standing right behind you.

Glad I could help to put that question to rest nice and early in your day. I wouldn't want the anticipation to hanker at you all day. It does seem as if something else happens every day or so, especiall in the Orlando area.
Something similar happened at the indoor range near me about 4 years ago. A guy came in to shoot, though he did have his own gun. He had been in before and the owner & his assistant knew the fellow casually. The guy was alone on one side of the range and proceeded to load up and committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. Fortunately an off duty LEO was practicing on the other side of the range and came over immediately to try to help, but it was too late. It made all the local papers & TV, of course. There was never a question about any fault on the part of the range owner.
The side of the story that never got reported: the incident caused the owner and his assistant endless anguish by just having to witness it. I don't think he was ever able to go in to the range as lighthearted after that as he was before. He ended up selling the range and I believe the incident was a good part of it.
The Media is suposed to air a special titled, If I Only Had A Gun(ABC) I think.Where I qualified for my C W Licence a guy shot himself ,he was the only one down there and they thought he had droped his gun until they found a note.

The show is on ABC at 10pm tomorrow (Friday). Here's the description from Yahoo! TV: "Gun violence in the United States; whether gun owners can actually get to a gun in a crisis situation; the ease with which a gun can be purchased; gun violence as seen through the eyes of a child; the attraction of young people to guns."
Do ya suppose it might be a little biased? I wonder if the "Fairness Doctrine" will be applied here and allow the NRA equal time in a similar time slot for a rebuttal? Why do I doubt that?

ABC News 20/20 is catching hell on their discussion board right now. Posters are about 4:1 in favor of the Second Amendment. I already submitted about three posts. I'll be curious to know what the ratio is in the morning. The number of posts in the last few hours has been in the hundreds.
I just heard on the news that the family is sueing the range because the woman had been kicked out for attempted suicide 3 years ago.
That will suck. The one time we were there they seemed like one of the last honest family type businesses ran by good, honest people. I was impressed. I hope they don't become the victum of some sue happy lawyer.
We should brace ourselves to expect to see a number of similar incidents occuring in the near term. These events tend to spike in number during major economic downturns. The deeper the economic downturn is, and the longer that it prevails, the more likely it is that those already living on the edge so to speak, will snap.

So my wife got home from work last night, it turns out that a friend of hers from work has a cousin that was dating the son. the night before all this happened, the mother who did the shooting told her son that she intended to kill her son and his girlfriend. The son was a little upset and told his girlfriend but I guess the son didn't take her seriously enough and decided that mom would never do that...hey let's go to the range tomorrow.
This story keeps getting wierder. Now the news talks about the lawsuit everyday.

I can see the lawyers getting in line now. They will be sueing the gun company and ammo maker too by the time they are done. Maybe the paper company that made the targets will be next.
