Interestingly, I spoke with Monte at the gun store recently and he has not heard anything about it. It would seem to me that those intrested parties wanting ammo sales would get the word out to the shops also.

Got my credit card all cleaned, polished and ready for action. I have done my recon work too! There is a case of 12 ga. shells for the new shotgun, just sittin on the shelf at wally world waiting for my mission. And another 100 count box of 9mm ammo or two behind the counter.
I have laid out my mission plan and have syncronized my watch and am just waiting for the start of my mission.
I am also going to write "National Ammo Day" on the reciept right below where I sign!
The point I was making is that I have bought all the ammo that I ever needed why is Ammo Day any different? And no I don't need another hole in the head. As far as 22's go I dont need anymore. Money is not the issue. What am I going to use another brick for?--Shooting tin cans?

I'm thinking more in the neigborhood of 500-1000rnds.
I've changed the list so many times now that I think I'll do the last decision while at the counter and depending of the stock at the shop.
Anyway I can't go wrong, with over 2000 rnds stashed away now, I feel that a 1000 more can't be a bad bet.
Just rarin to go! And as I said I am writing National Ammo Day on the reciept under my name.
But this also got me to thinking with all the new big brother stuff going on, it will also be my last credit card ammo purchase. cash from now on boys!
Just walked over to the gun store. Bought a brick of .22 Wilcats & 2 boxes of 7.62 x 39 S&B. Oops! I don't have a weapon that fires 7.62 x 39.. Hmmm, guess I need to bump this SKS shopping project up a notch.
A friend at work has 2 spare Norchinco's. He is willing to part with one for $200.00. Seems to be about the going rate in the gun stores for a non fired. I might get him to settle on $175. Even if it goes for $200, I beat the tax game.
In the mean time, I'll pull out one of my little S&B buddies and set it on the desk.
