For the money, they are a great buy. Good shooter's and small enough to CCW.

Cz 82

The CZ 82 is the best milsurp pistol available currently. It is accurate ,high cap, and Czech made. My only complaint is the painted finish and that is easy enough to fix.

Back when I bought mine the popularity was fadeing some. I'm glad to see Interest in them comeing back.
There not a great concealed carry pistol due to weight and the grip. But I manage to carry mine.
Many are acurate and a lot of fun to shoot, there heavy duty built to.

I'm very satisfied with mine and it happens to be the only pistol I own.
I also carry a short HD shotgun as a back up...A.H

while searching GunBroker for other CZs, i saw these 82s & the peaked my interest.

my question relates to ammo...who makes the ammo & where do you find it readily available.

i don't recall seeing any in my LGS or walmart, however, mayabe it was because i wasn't looking.

i guess my question is, is this ammo readily available?

thanx,
trailblazer

they are expensive on gun broker. order one from J&G, AIM or SOG and you will pay less than $200. make sure who ever you get it from includes the spare mag. & holster. the ammo is also availiable thru those sources. a few months ago, when most ammo was impossible to get, I bought 500 rds. of Silver Bear hollow points with no problem.

I have never had a hard time finding ammo but you do not see it at places like Wally.

I got the silver bear too and almost blew my gun apart b/c one of the rounds were packed to much or something. I was shooting it and like blam, blam, blam, BOOOOOOM!

The shell was blown apart inside the chamber. I had to take the pistol apart and push the busted shell out.

Moral of the story lol, just watch out when you load them and make sure that the lead isn't sticking up to much... could be over packed

The CZ-82 is no doubt one of the best weapons of all time. As for military surplus, definitely the best of all times. And ammo is great. Inexpensive and plentiful. I buy bulk plinking ammo online from sportsmansguide for about $10 a box. I buy defense ammo from my local gun shop. They carry hornady XTP and Corbon Power-Ball. Both are awesome. And it is my carry gun about 80% of the time. It isn't too big. And of course, if you get a crossbreed holster (super-tuck), it's one of the best concealed carry combinations you could ever get. The only reason people buy really small conceal carry guns, is because they haven't found the right holster for other guns. With my Crossbreed, I have one that I carry my SigSauer P220 45acp IWB. Each holster is molded to that gun. Anyway, I digress. The CZ-82 is, or should be, considered one of the top 10 pistols of all time. It's really that good.

The CZ 82 is a very good pistol, excellent in fact. They are one of the best values out there today. I got mine from classicarms.us and it came with all the original issued gear. They were issued to military and police for several years. They are compact and have very good ergonomics, and the best thing is that they will ALWAYS go up in value. The polygonal rifling makes it very accurate. Check out classicarms.us, the one I got from them looked new and it was under $200.

Get one before they are gone

Getting your C&R license is easy, you just offer up your first born child to the federal government and then fill out the paper work (along with the offering of money). I tried to find the gov't web site with the forms but it has apparently been hidden since the last time I went looking for it. A C&R is a great investment if you like shopping for toys without paying retail. Perhaps Obamalamadingdong has something to do with me not finding the site ;-)
