I haven't had any for years, but I used to love frying up some blood sausage and eating it with rice.

Oh man, and pickled pigs knuckles! Awesome!

This one isn't really exotic, but the girlfriend thinks it is strange. I really enjoy crackers and milk (instead of cereal and milk). I get a pint glass, crunch a bunch of saltines into it, fill it with milk and eat it with a spoon.

oh man blood sausages..... remind me of the pig slaughtering days at the farm of my uncle.... women stirring that huge cauldron filled with fresh blood, adding cream and onions while washing the guts to fill them witht he mixture... Have not been able to find blood sausage since I am in the US.... maybe not looking at the right places

RE Blood Sausage: Used to get it at a local place somewhere around Niles Michigan. I think it must be more prevalent in the Midwest because I haven't found any around my area either.

It sounds like you know too much about how it's made though! Sausage is one of those things I try not to think too much about.

I don't exactly know what you mean by strange. I like oysters, alligator, buffalo, ostrich and deer just to name a few. Catfish is also good, and scallops. Most anything is good I would say, if it is cooked right. I also love chicken livers.

Strange.... more like bizarre, out of the ordinary, things that people would look at you in disgust if you told them....
good example is the saltine in the milk.... will certainely look gross, but might be good to try.
opossum, squirrel, guinea pigs, dog, cats, testicles, guts, stomach, whale fat.... I am thinking more this kind of stuff.
But it is all a question of culture... i know that here in Utah, people look me strange when I say i eat the Jackrabbits that I hunt....

I ate dog when I was stationed in the Philippines. I didn't know that was what it was at the time I was eating it. My Filipino friends thought it was funny. I just thought it was BBQ Pork on a stick like they always eat over there. Cold Beer and a little bit of "Old Yeller". No it didn't taste like Chicken. It tasted and looked like their BBQ Pork. Kind of Spicy.

I ate Hamburgers over there off base all of the time also. The problem with that is, they don't or didn't have cows in the Philippines. My policy was if it tastes good and it doesn't kill you, I guess it was ok.

Mountain oysters are great. So is BBQ coon. Possum and sweet taters are eatable but the meat is very greasy. Bear is eatable but the meat is stringy and greasy. Fried soft shell turtle is good.

I would try BBQ Racoon. My friend ate Ground Hog and he said it was good. I don't know about Mountain Oysters or Possum.

We shot about 10 coons this year, and I can honestly say that after skinning all 10 of them, I have NO interest in eating them!

Blood Bodine is Blood Sausage this far south. It's a Cajun word and I'll never eat it...A.H

This may sound gross but a friend of mine use to eat pork-n-beans, tuna and cottage cheese all mixed together. I finally got the nerve to try it and it wasn't all that bad!

I tried snake once, but I was pretty young. Dad shot a rattlesnake that had wandered too close to the water trough. He fried it if I remember right. I remember it being pretty tasty, but have not had much opportunity to try any since. If I ever see one of the critters before the horses stomp it into mush I will have to give it another try!

Someone mentioned Oysters. I prefer the sheep over the bull, easier to manage I guess.

Those are unusual? Huh. My wife and I both like those. Snails are especially good sauteed in garlic and butter.

Let's see...Okay, at Vietnamese places we eat pho with tendon and dishes with tripe. Some of the Chinese BBQ places here make a good pig uterus (you heard me).

I've eaten rattler before. Not much meat on them, really...well, it's annoying to get off due to their anatomy. Not like chicken at all. I hate that comparison to things. Chicken taste like chicken. Hell, turkey doesn't taste like chicken, why would snake?

But I've eaten stuffed sheep's head (including an eyeball), insects (grasshoppers and mealworms, fried), and durian. I guess so long as an animal's dead and cooked I'll at least try it.

The strangest I've eat is pig brains. They didnt really taste bad but they had a weird texture, kind of like playdough. The most disgusing thing I've eaten is sea urchin. I love sushi and I think I would rather lick up dog vomit before eating sea urchin again.
