Trenton, NJ - Stung by recent criticism that it has been neglecting minority markets, the Campbell Soup Company today introduced a new line of microwave meals called "Hungry Muthaf**kas," designed to appeal to the culinary tastes and traditions of the African-American community.
Speaking at a news conference this morning, Campbell CEO Fred Livingston was excited about the new products and their potential to enhance his company's sagging bottom line. "For years we've been asking the question, 'How do you handle a hungry muthaf**ka?', and now we think we've got the answer. 'Hungry Muthaf**kas' showcase affordable down-home soul food in an easy-to-use format."
Currently "Hungry Muthaf**kas" come in three varieties: fried chicken, catfish and pigs knuckles; and all entrees are accompanied with a mess of greens, cornbread and a slab of sweet potato pie. Future plans include adding a single serving of freeze-dried Colt 45 malt liquor to every meal.
If "Hungry Muthaf**kas" are successful, Campbell plans to introduce several more types of ethnic-oriented microwave meals, including Chinese Dog Nuggets, White Trash Possum Fritters and French-Fried Frog Fillets.
