if i encounter a nutcase such as above, he gets a good blast of capsium spray in his face and i keep hist stuff.

I just ran a check on my backpack again and noticed I was missing two things:

1) a fork
2) toilet paper

If I hadn't caught that, that could have been embarrassing!

What's the fork for? In case you've had to live on MRE's for a few days & you want to use the toilet paper?
