Swiss Vetterli

How many got a Swiss Vetterli,I do and when I go to sleep at night it calls my name and says shoot me.When I get my hands on some 348 brass it will be converted to centerfire(unless I find a bayonet)it is in verry good shape for a 1878 rifle.I dont think they will ever make rimfire ammo for these rifles and its to heavy for a club.

i have a Vetterli Swiss, M.81 WaffenFabrik, Bern. My father bought it for me 50 years ago , at a sporting goods store for 9.99USD, called a barrel of guns selection he just pulled out the biggest gun and bought it. I cleaned it, sanded the wood, and oil the wood and put it the closet until last month when i saw one for sale at a gun show. they are an interesting part of gun history and are beautifully assembled. and no i would never fire this gun.
