Would anyone use an Archery forum?

GnG has a bow hunting forum that is used as default for all archery related questions. Do we have enough archery traffic to warrant the creation of an "Archery" sub forum in the Other Forums category?

I had a question this month on adhesives, there was at least one other post on buying a used bow, and someone questioned what their bows might be worth. Do 3 posts constitute traffic? I am not the one that has to do the coding, so I guess Chris will have to decide!

I'm not into archery at the moment, as it's a bit expensive to get into and I still have a lot of guns that I want and dont' have.

BUT, I think it would be an excellent addition and give me a one up when I do decide to get into it. Chris, I like this idea.

Regulars on this forum may have noticed that I do not contribute or visit as often as I have in the past. The reason? Well actually I have two, # 1 is at this writing, I am redeveloping my past archery skills Thus I have been consentrating more on becoming a decent archer and have elected, by choice to concentrate on three or four diffrent archery sites. I still treasure my shootin irons and the friends I have made here.
And will, if I have anything of note to contribute or a question to ask on firearms or our Second Amendment Rights I will not hesatate to post it on this, the finest firearms related site I have had the pleasure and privilage to join.
The second reason---- "well that's my secret."
So I suppose that the answer to the question of another archery sub-forum on this site is Yes I would support such a forum.

I think there should be one for competitive archery, not just bowhunting. There is so much more different equipment used that could be talked about.

I agree, sort of--- I not a big fan of compounds or crossbows, but respect the right of the indiviual to use whatever he or she wants to as long as it's legal. i.e. No Dahlgrens allowed during squirrel season.

I would use one for sure. I grew up in a competetive target archery family. Would be nice to be able to talk to people about things besides whisker biscuits and tree stands. I do enjoy bow hunting! My roots are just long lost with the memories of shooting with Bill Mills, Terry & Michelle Ragsdale etc... Of course I was a kid and they were on top of there adult careers but the turkey shoots and weekend field tourneys were all about learning from the pros. Because of there guidance I starting winning state comps at the age of about 11.

PLEASE start a good archery thread that is not covered in camouflage and 4 wheelers.

What's nice about archery:
-The ammunition is reusable.
-I can do it at home in the 'burbs.
-It's quite.
-I don't have to clean anything when I'm done.

No, one doesn't have to clean anything, but one does have to wax the string now and again, sharpen the "field" point(s) after hitting the neighbor's cat, dig a hole to hide said cat, and comiserate with the neighbor because the cat ran off. (jokeing)
