.223 ammunition Lake city brass, fmj new ammo : Rifle Ammo at GunBroker.com
I still reload it for much, much less than that. I calculated once it was 24.4 cents per round, or $244.00 per 1000.

There are guys who feed these rumor because they use ammo as an investment. They buy bunches and then they sell it at top dollar. Works just like oil speculation. I have 200 rounds on the truck from cabelas tomarrow according to UPS tracking info.

I have 29 boxes of 50 of .223, Four 30 round clips and three 10 round clips loaded with hand loads. I have a box of maybe 500 more cases ready to be processed. I'm good for a while.

All the stores in my area have been getting more and more 223 ammo lately. I see it appearing more and also the price has started to drop slightly.

But, we're already here...well, maybe the 3rd world is invading our country...hmm...

On another note, I went into WalMart 2 days ago, and they had about 2600 rounds of .223. Federal Premium and Black Hills, in 50 and 100 round packages. Only about 2 weeks earlier, they were completely out of all Center Fire ammunition.

They now have a sign up that says ammo will be limited to 6 boxes per customer per day, in order to try to please all customers.

So, I think this thing from the guy at Cabelas was a bunch of horsecrap.

At $60/m for primers( if you can find them) manufactured ammo is cheaper at times. My problem is I shoot Cowboy Action and Bullseye (3 gun) and can't find lead ammo for CBA
