I took a coworker of mine out for a first pistol shoot a few weeks ago. He liked the CZ85 I brought, but loved the Stainless Ultra Carry II. He told me today he has since tried Glocks, XD's, and Rugers. He also told me he has decided on a Kimber. As far as I can tell he is ruined. If he buys the Pro Carry II he tells me he's getting, what is left? What's left after Kimbers?
Originally he was concerned with making his wife shoot 45. I told him today the Kimbers come in 9mm. He said 45 was "just right".
Good show, Oilfield. We can always use new shooters.
I taught my sister-in-law how to shoot a couple weeks ago. She wasn't anti-gun but didn't want guns in her house. She fell in love and now is ragging her husband to get her a Walther. I tried to get her to shoot something bigger but she chickened out...for now.
I've found that women who profess to hate guns has, normally, never shot one and knows nothing about guns...after they learn and do...different story.

Look at it like this, you helped a buddy buy his first Cadillac, and now he gets to try out all the sports cars and SUV's in the gun world , it's a wonderful sickness
When we went shooting I told him I had a Stainless Target II if he wanted to try it too. He said no and that he was pretty sure he wanted a Pro sized gun. Sadly I didn't have one to let him try. When I brought up the lack of a medium sized Kimber to my wife, she gave me the finger. Go figure.
Kimbers are great, but don't count out Wilson Combat, the best 1911 on the market today. If I could afford a Kimber or any 1911 for that matter I would own one. I have been looking at an Interstate 1911 for $400.
