omg!ok ,ok, i dont reccomend everyone do it, but i have been shooting for 30 years and alot of it has been at metal objects, i love seeing my carbon tipped .308 a.p. rounds going thru a junk car body or refrigerator or steel plate. and my 30-06 loves to penetrate steel. most of lifes best moments are missed because of being too careful. the choices we make are our own, i am not reccomending a 13 year old to go out and try it but personally it is one of my favorite targets, and i want to know the breeching power of these rounds. what if i some day need to penetrate a fridge door that has a burglar hiding behind it? or a car door with a carjacker with my kid in the back seat. i like to know the capabilities of the rounds i shoot in real life situations, no better way than blasting a old appliance yes? of course i take precautions any one around is cleared to a safetey point and making sure of the exit path of my rounds. and believe me with the kinetic energy these 1-3/8 oz. slugs through layers of thin steel there is no bouncing.. a .22 ya they bounce any where
