Well, it looks like they are all made in china. I was hoping for a better quality one for the price. The only thing I know about chinese violins is that they were not known for their bright crisp sound.
Update, the paper actually says
"Andrew Schroetter Geigenbaumeister"
"Mittenwald / Bayern 420 Model, No. 17405 4/4, Jahr"
now geigenbaumeister just means luthier, which means someone who makes or repairs stringed instruments.
Strange, thanks for the help, keep digging if you would! Maybe not actually chinese somehow?
