[Ballbearing]

I bought the short 18 and 1/2 inch barrel with the black synthetic stock for ease of packing around. The longer gun seemed a bit awkward to me. I have a lot of woods around my house and there is quite a bit of game, and a long barrel doesn't work too well in all that brush. The gun is very light and handy, but I haven't had the chance to shoot it yet. It says on the barrel that it was made in Turkey, which I thought was an odd place for a shotgun to be manufactured, since Turkey is better known for producing rifles. My question is: Have these guns and this brand gotten decent reviews from gunwriters? And do the people who own them think well of them or not?

Update: I put twenty rounds through the new C/D shotgun and it performed flawlessly! It is a real sweet shooting gun, and takes about any kind of ammo from bird shot to turkey loads to 00buck without a hitch (I shot a few of each). The 00buck was a particularly hard hitter that had the best penetration and had a tendency to knock over my target. I liked it, I liked it a lot!

When I was young Sears had a picture of a tanned grandfatherly type person and the Charles Daly name on a wide variety of outdoor gear.

Since then the name has come and gone from the marketplace a number of times on items ranging from high quality to poorer quality.

I do not know who owns the Charles Daly name at present.

So, it is a matter of the current product incarnation and I am happy you appear to have a high quality winner. Congrats and keep shooting.

Ballbearing quiet a few firearms are being made in Turkey. Some of CZ's over and unders are made in Turkey.
H&R-NEF semi-auto is made in Turkey. And they all seem to be well made and fit and finish have been very good.

I shot my new Maverick security 18.5" barreled 12ga. last weekend and after shooting this Little cannon it left me in awl.
I was like you...I liked it a lot to !!! Man it sure is bad medicine ain't it ? LOL

I have a CD 12ga semi Field Grade and had no problems and it hits where I aim.

I'm getting a c/d 18 1/2" nickel myself . I hope I like it as much as you like yours ! I can't wait to get it out and shoot it . I 'll post my fun . It'll be about a week before it comes in .
