Cool! At my last visit to Sportsman's Warehouse, I lucked up on two 100-piece boxes of .312 100-grain Hornady HP-XTP bullets. I am going to try them in my 7.62X38R Nagant revolver. Yep, funny idea that.... 'defense loads' in the wimpy Nagant. But that's what makes reloading fun - trying new things!
On the other hand, I could make some wicked light-weight home-defense loads for my M44 Carbine......

Defence loads in a military revolver? Sounds appropriate, actually, however wimpy it might be ballistically.

I wish I had somewhere around me that even carried reloading supplies! I get stuck ordering everything and paying for shipping and hazmat.

Enjoy your press and working up your loads.

What? I live by gun hating Chicago, and I can find places.

No stores within miles of me carry reloading supplies. I'd probably have to drive 45 miles or so I would guess, unless there are some places on the locals know about.

Check around some of the little out-of-the-way General Stores - they sometimes have a dusty box of ammo or components stashed somewheres.
I once found a box of .32-20 that way, at an out-of-town gas station/baitshop. Those are now reformed for my Nagant loads!

I was confused until I realized you meant Nagant pistol.

Yeah, I just made my first conversions, but I haven't shot them yet.

Actually, I have toyed with the idea of building a Martini-action carbine using the 7.62X38R Nagant cartridge. Be a fun lil plinker!
