I like a whole range of music, really tough to classify my tastes. I don't like Country, or "Mid 1970's "Druggie Rock"", there are exceptions, as I do like Alice Cooper, but he is in a different category. Being a product of the 1980's (Thank God), I'm getting back to that era of music. I do like the real original Punk groups to an extent, mainly the Sex Pistols, maybe a little of the Clash and Elvis Costello. Lately I've been getting into 80's New Wave, as I was just a youngster the first time around.
Some bands I like that I can think of are:
The Buggles, The Rugburns
New Order , ABC
OMD, Crowded House
Sex Pistols, The Psychedelic Furs
PiL, The Smiths
Alice Cooper, Morrissey
Split Enz, Pseudo Echo
Talk Talk,
The Cure
Elvis Costello
The Lightening Seeds
INXS
Def Leppard
Dead Milkmen
I'll think of more...
Mark

Around here it's classical, classic rock and C&W when I'm traveling alone. Not opera, though; I do like it when I can understand the lyrics.

I've played Bass since I was 16, [now 56] I like any quality music with well thought out lyrics that doesn't scream the same thing the whole song. Country, Rock, Blues, Electronic, Ambient, Jazz. Open Mic restaurants every chance I get.
I play all of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Willie, Stevie Ray, Eagles, Ozzie, was a roadie grip for Lynard Skynard, Alan Parson's. I'm writing music with my studio rig.

I'm willing to listen to just about anything but elevator (don't get me started on Barry Manilow or Kenny G!). I like rock, new age, Irish folk/drinking music, and swing the best.
My favorite bands include Oingo Boingo, Pink Floyd, Delerium, Tori Amos, Dead Milkmen, Midnight Oil, Don Henley, Icehouse, Cure, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Depeche Mode, etc.

Classic Rock and Southern Rock. If I had to listen to Rap Music or Thrash Metal (like Slipknot) very long I would climb the nearest Tower like Charles Whitman.....Just Kidding...

Tool, Korn, Disturbed, Seether, Etc.
Really into alternative right now... I'll switch back to Classical every now and again..
Bach, Mozart, Carl Orf, etc.
What a variation....
Ofcourse.. Pink Floyd ALWAYS has a spot in my changer.......
