I was finally able to put most of my stuff out Monday night, then we had horrible wind last night, and the rest of the week doesn't look any better.

Poor little plants!

Stick a coffee can (open on both ends) up around 'em while they are little shorties.

That's a good idea. I'm either gonna have to go dumpster diving or plunder the shelves in my reloading room.

I'm not sure which is worse!

So far I have planted:

8 Romas
4 Rutgers
4 Brown Berry
4 Jalapenos
4 Anahiems
2 Kaleidescopes
2 Paprikas
2 Pimentos
4 California Bells
4 Sweet Bells
4 Banana Peppers
4 Okra

Basil
Sage
Cilantro
Mint
Chamomile
Rosemary
Oregano
Thyme

And those are just the ones that I'm worried about blowing over!

I may start doing that. I get about 2 or 3 a month from work. So far they've all gone to the reloading room, I better start saving some for the garden.

My wife and I grind the beans so we don't get any cans from the house. Maybe I could start asking the family to save them for us. I know one guy that uses milk cartons.

This year has been horrid for getting my poor plants weened to outdoor life. Wind keeps changing direction and all this massive rainfall, I am sad to say that my starts are back on the enclosed porch! The way this year is going I may just get a few more metal hallide light fixtures and just grow my garden inside this year LOL!

I no more than got a row of lettuce, a row of radishes & carrots together, 14 various mounds of zuchini, squash and cucumbers done than this danged flash flooding came in.... I was thinking I would get another round of seeds in and the rain would water everything in.... well... I wonder how much got washed out.

One bonus this year is that I have 2 rounds of sweet corn in the ground and the farmer that does the corn around me has yet to plant so not much concerned about that field corn spoiling my sweet corn!
