I have two Gamo pellet rifles. A Shadow 1000 and a Shadow Express (the express shoots .22 pellets and .22 shotshell)

So I bought two (2) GRT III triggers from CharlieDaTuna custom tunes Springer Air Guns & markets GTX-III triggers & GRT-III triggers and they took all but maybe 10 minutes each to install and WOW, was it easy and HOLY **** what a difference.

The triggers went from pulling hair to a hair trigger. And I can adjust both travel and creep.

So in my opinion, if you own a pellet rifle and you don't like the trigger on it or you would like a better trigger, GET THE GRT III. You will not regret it.

I can't wait to get out and shoot. I mean I tested it for fit and function and to make sure the safety worked and all that, but I have yet to load it and shoot it. It's been a miserable and rainy day all day is why I haven't.

But I do not expect there to be any problems. I expect my son and I to be hitting whatever we aim at with much more consistency...

Sorry Squrril but to me your question is vague. One thing I do know that if you change out your trigger with the Charlie DaTuna Trigger it will be 100% better.

my question is can you hold your GRT trigger in between the first and second stage?
meaning, you take up the first stage then hold to aquire your target then when you are on target you hit the second stage which is a hair trigger.
i have four of the Bobs GRT and five of Steves GTX.
i am looking for feedback from people that have Bobs trigger and have it working as a true two stage trigger.

Hey Squirrel. I understand your question (I think) and my answer is no. I haven't tried to adjust the trigger on my Whisper, but basically it is a very light single stage. Don't lean on your trigger until you are ready to fire. That said, it's still a great improvement over the typical Gamo trigger.

yea i need a GRTIII the stock trigger is the worst of any gun i've ever shot. can't say from experience but i'm guessing GRTIII is the real deal.

your trigger sounds unsafe in that condition.
i have a link to CDTs instructions.
and on my blog there are instructions for what i had to do to get my GRTs to work as advertised.

if you want a trigger that drops in and is a true two stage trigger than go to Airguns of Arizona and order one of Steves GTXs, you won't be disappointed.

I ordered a GRT III trigger a couple of weeks ago for my Crosman Storm XT pellet rifle. I'm going to return it. IMO it's unsafe. Out of the box, it repeatedly went off if my finger even brushed against it. Even after closely following Charlie's adjustment instructions I couldn't get it to do any better, no matter what adjustment I made. At one point, it even went off by itself when I closed the barrel.

There's no discernible stage at all...just one ultra-light hair trigger.

I know many others swear by it, but I just have been swearing at it.

If my grandfather was alive he would take your rifle from you & you wouldn't get it back until you learned proper gun safety. He might even beat you with it for being such a dumb ass.

I thought the stock gamo trigger was a psuedo 2 stage, the reason why it pulled & shot like crap. How does Steve's GTX trigger solve this issue?? Especially considering it looks identical to the Tuna's.
