Personally, if it was a $750.00 Ruger with the good piston idea that's catching on, I'd consider it. Not at this moment though.

I like it. A little pricey, I'm hearing $1700 at stores around me. I have been looking at Para's new TTR AR but might just wait and handle the Ruger. It will compliment my SR9

excellent idea/concept.....but too expensive for a broad target audience.......way too much $$$ for an unproven new entry from a company that has had recall problems.

It will be cheaper for a lot of folks to start out with a less expensive basic AR and customize it how they want to and gradually build upon the base..........instead of going whole hog out the gate as in this ruger......

granted, it is NOT an ar-15.......it might actually be superior......maybe. But 2 grand is a heck of a chunk of change to gamble with.......

die hard ruger-holics will pounce if they can afford it.....

i am generally a die-hard ruger fan.....don't want to sound like the "fox and the sour grapes" story......but its out of my reach.....

I sure like the chrome plated bolt group though. But not worth the money they seem to be asking? MSRP is $1995.00 YIKES! And I see maybe why. They went with Troy Industries rail and battle sites it looks like? And it comes with 3 30rd. Magpul Pmags and a soft case...Still not worth it to me... http://www.ruger-firearms.com/Firear...=5902&return=Y

Here's a good li'l article on it from Guns and Ammo.

initial response to seeing Gunblast article:
WOW, hooray for Ruger!

response to seeing the price tag, as well as understanding that I won't be seeing one in California:
meh...

I am not an AR afficianado, but it seems to be a great idea. I really like the adjustable gas port, seems like a good sales point (but I am a sucker for any new gadget).

Too bad they don't have one on the Mini-14/30.
