fishing derby

This was the 4th year I've went to the fishing derby at the Brownstown City Park. I was also with my buddy, his 2nd year. This was the first year I've caught something. There are bass, bluegill, and sunfish in there, and all my fish were bass. I was using a 202 with a bobber and hook that was set a few inches down. I was using worms and nightcrawlers my buddy and I caught that morning. The first fish I caught, he accidently let loose. I'm pretty sure it was the same fish I caught again. I caught 2 fish after that, and one was a nice 9 incher. My total weight was 10 oz. I won in my age division, a nice way to start off my amateur fishing career.
Now, I'm crazy about fishing, but before, I wasn't as eager to fish often. By the way, I have also caught small catfish, not sure which, and drum, though I'm not sure if it is or not, which I caught at the White River.

Good to hear you like fishing more now. Yesterday I went with my grandpa, and took my little brother and my girlfriends little sister and my mama came also. We fished for about two hours and I caught one bass and a crappie shook my hook. My grandpa caught a small channel cat, and several bream because they are still bedding. Mama caught a bass and several crappie also. If you ever need any tips or anything just ask the guys on this forum.
